AgriTech Nordic, located in Steinkjer, Norway, is at the forefront of merging new technologies with the agricultural, forestry, and aquacultural industries in the Trøndelag region. 

This initiative not only boosts regional and international collaboration by establishing living labs and test arenas for technology, but also supports a mentorship and accelerator program for entrepreneurs.

We have a rich history of continuous innovation in agriculture, and we are blessed by nature. 

The dark, fertile soil and the temperate, humid climate brought by the Gulf of Mexico's currents create ideal conditions for agriculture. The green mountain plateaus provide cool, dry habitats for both wild and domesticated species. Here, during the endless summer days, crops grow slowly under the near-constant sunlight, imbuing the food with a distinct flavor. For generations, the people of Trøndelag have hunted, gathered, and farmed, learning to harness what the earth and sea can offer.

Our rich food region contributes 23% of Norway's agricultural output and leads in organic production. 

Over 200 local food and beverage producers and major food industries thrive here, where traditional methods meet innovation.

Local chefs and restaurants proudly utilize these ingredients to reflect the region’s culinary richness. 

In this dynamic food region, Trøndelag has emerged as a powerhouse for agritech innovation and technology. It is developing solutions that streamline agriculture, reduce environmental impact, and create new business and export opportunities.

To extend the creation of an arena, we lay grounds for developing a network of regional and international players by working on establishing living laboratories, test-arenas for technology, and a mentor and accelerator-program for entrepreneurs.
